Naipi was offered to Mboi. For this reason, the girl dedicated her life to the cults of the deity, Mboi.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During a tribe celebration, a young warrior named Tarob\u00e1 met Naipi and fell in love with the chief&#039;s daughter. The two, blinded by love, fled in a canoe across the waters of the river.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Upon realizing this, Mboi became furious and opened a huge crack in the river that emerged from the depths of the earth, which would have given rise to the waterfalls.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tarob\u00e1 and Naipi, surrounded by the furious waters, collapsed into this abyss for all eternity.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to legend, Naipi would have been transformed into the central rock of the Falls.
