During his childhood, he worked with his father at the Hotel F\u00e1tima, in the city of Maring\u00e1, Paran\u00e1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During this period in which he worked with his father, Jaime Mendes learned many functions in the <strong>hotel business<\/strong> and came to Foz do Igua\u00e7u in 1968, ending up working as a <strong>receptionist and tour guide<\/strong> in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1973, Jaime Mendes met his future wife. <strong>Maria Francisca Machado Mendes<\/strong> came to the city on a faculty excursion from the State University of Goi\u00e1s and ended up staying <strong>staying at the same hotel<\/strong> where he worked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the tour ended, both exchanged letters.<strong> <\/strong>for six months before getting married. Upon moving to Foz do Igua\u00e7u, Maria Mendes began to <strong>work in the hospitality industry<\/strong> with her husband and <strong>only in 1976<\/strong> both entered a building on Avenida Brasil to start the first hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A few years later, Mr. Jaime had the opportunity to work at the Hotel das Cataratas, taking advantage of this path to <strong>improve your knowledge in hospitality<\/strong>. Eventually, he and his wife decided it was time to build their own business, opening the <strong>Hotel Del Rey Quality Hotel<\/strong> <strong>in 1985<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A-Fundacao-do-Del-Rey-Quality-Hotel\"><\/span> The Del Rey Quality Hotel Foundation <span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hoteldelreyfoz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Jaime-Mendes-fundador-do-Del-Rey-Quality-Hotel-1170x638.png\" alt=\"Jaime Mendes, founder of Del Rey Quality Hotel\" class=\"wp-image-11621\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>O <strong>Del Rey Quality Hotel<\/strong> \u2013 formerly known as <strong>Hotel Del Rey Foz \u2013<\/strong> was founded by Mr. Jaime Ant\u00f4nio da Costa Mendes in 1985, when quotas in Paraguay were released and people traveled a lot to Foz to shop across the border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The name &#039;<strong>Del Rey<\/strong>&#039; was chosen because the hotel was inspired by <strong>royal treatment<\/strong> and from the outset had the aim of treating guests as if they were &#039;Kings&#039; and &#039;Queens&#039;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At first, after the land where the <strong>Del Rey Quality Hotel<\/strong> having been purchased, only 22 apartments were built. But, with the success of the undertaking, in 1989 the <strong>first expansion in the hotel<\/strong> \u2013 thanks to the purchase of the land next door \u2013 where another 32 apartments were built, <strong>pool<\/strong> and terrace bar.<br>In 1992, the Del Rey in Foz underwent yet another renovation to renovate the facilities, adding a <strong>playroom<\/strong>, the construction of the chapel and more new apartments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&gt;&gt; See also: <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hoteldelreyfoz.com\/en\/blog\/hotel-del-rey-foz-personalized-service\/\" target=\"_blank\">Why is the Del Rey Quality Hotel the Ideal Hotel for You?<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"O-Hotel-Atualmente\"><\/span>The Hotel Currently<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, the management of <strong>Del Rey Quality Hotel<\/strong> is under the command of Jaime, son of the founding couple, who continues his father&#039;s legacy with a lot of effort and dedication.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today the <strong>Del Rey Quality Hotel <\/strong>it has 91 apartments structured to receive families, friends, people who are traveling alone or on business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the years, we have received many awards, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>O <strong>6th best hotel in Brazil for families<\/strong> by tripadvisor<\/li><li><strong>3 star certificate<\/strong> from the Ministry of Tourism<\/li><li>One of the <strong>25 Best Hotels in Latin America for Family<\/strong> by tripadvisor<\/li><li><strong>Paran\u00e1 Tourism Quality Award<\/strong> (2018-2019) awarded by SEBRAE<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It is worth remembering that the hotel is in a privileged location <strong>in the center of Foz do Igua\u00e7u<\/strong>, close to the Urban Transport Terminal (TTU).
